Johannes zu Eltz

Founder and President

Johannes grew up on a farm in southern Germany, where his deep connection to nature and early experience in regenerative agriculture shaped his lifelong environmental vision. After studying physics in Munich, he built an international executive career across several continents, gaining firsthand insight into global environmental challenges and the impacts of climate change. Today, through his nonprofit Forest4Future, Johannes dedicates himself to restoring forests with native trees, fostering biodiversity, and inspiring younger generations to reconnect with nature.

Michael van der Ven

Vice President & Treasury

Michael brings over two decades of global experience in finance, operations, and organizational strategy from roles at The World Bank, the American Red Cross, and the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Currently Senior Director for Strategic Finance at Pivotal, he oversees financial management and planning for a group of organizations focused on social progress for women and young people around the world. As Vice President of Forest4Future, Michael applies his expertise in stewardship and efficiency to strengthen the organization’s governance, sustainability, and long-term financial impact.

Moneshia zu Eltz

Vice President

Moneshia brings over 25 years of leadership from roles at IBM, Philips, and Walther Transaction GmbH, backed by MBA from Wharton. As founder of toAccompany since 2019, she empowers leaders and organizations through regenerative practices, design thinking workshops on ESG, food waste reduction, and inclusive leadership, driving social innovation and mentoring entrepreneurs for greater societal impact. In Forest4Future, she coordinates events, leverages her expertise for outreach.

Carl Graf zu Eltz

Forestry Expert

A lifelong farmer, forester, and hunter based in Germany has managed his estate since 1984. He pioneered regenerative agriculture, mixed forests from dying spruce monocultures, and ecological biogas. In 2024, he won ‘Waldbesitzer des Jahres’ (Forest Owner of the Year) in Germany for his forward-thinking management of 275 hectares.
